The drop piece table is a special function of a particular type of chiropractic table that allows for the table to drop away when the Chiropractor performs a thrust technique on a part of your body. This allows the Chiropractor to control the amount of force put into somebody’s body and also protects their own body from wear and tear as they can use the table.
Chiropractors are trained to diagnose, treat end even prevent some mechanical and movement disorders in your spine and muscle system. In some cases they must take into consideration the patient’s body type and use techniques like the drop peace table technique in order to treat them comfortably. Drop piece table techniques are very common throughout the Chiropractic industry. There are a few Chiropractors who will try a manual technique to try to induce a joint cavitation or a popping sound. Then if they cannot get this technique to create a noise that will usually drop his table instead.
We have tables at our clinics that have separate sections for different parts of your spine. These sections can also be used on your knees, ankles, hips, shoulders, elbows and wrists if need be. These sections can pop up to around 2 centimetres and then once the Chiropractor has applied a pressure to your body will drop down and create a sudden stop. The theory behind the stop is that the joint is vibrated in a position that allows it to move better after the treatment has been applied. The Chiropractor will usually push a joint in a particular direction that they believe the joint is stiff or stuck and that the pressure will allow the joint to move freely again.
They drop piece tables just one of the ways that we helped many patients reduce pain, dysfunction, discomfort and help them to reach their goals. Examples of patient goals include: exercising comfortably or more regularly, improving their energy levels because of reduced pain, being able to work without back stiffness and being able to sleep comfortably so that they can be less tired during the day.
